Salvation and The Great Day of Judgment Parable

This is a Jewish parable, taught by a Jewish teacher to a Jewish audience – and they all attended synagogues every Shabbat. It was recorded over 100 years before the Mishnah was written – and 400 years before the Talmud. The teacher was a member of Late Second Temple Period Judaism. The Great Day of Judgment and the Kingdom of God are linked together by Jesus in this famous parable (Matthew 25:31-46). His sacred writings were separate Hebrew scrolls, not writings in one book. He spoke Hebrew, not English. His lived in Galilee, not the United States. He never taught any Christian salvation doctrine. What is The Image of God?

The first clue the ancient text provides about this mysterious image is found in two words of Genesis 1:2 – “ RUACH ELOHIYM .” RUACH is defined as breath, wind or spirit; ELOHIYM is the word translated God . They are traditionally translated as “ Spirit of God .” But, since they are in a “ construct state, ” this means they are so closely united that “ together they constitute one compound idea .” 1 It is important to know where the RUACH ELOHIYM is located in the account – “ It was hovering above the surface of the waters .” The ancient text makes it clear that everything created has its own specific place and that requires a map. Distinguishing Between The Kingdom of Elohim & Cosmic Wars

A cosmic war is like a ritual drama in which participants act out on earth a battle they believe is actually taking place in the heavens. It is, in other words, both a real, physical struggle in this world and an imagined, moral encounter in the world beyond. A Happiness Ritual

Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar born 1970, is an American and Israeli teacher, and writer in the areas of positive psychology and leadership. As a lecturer at Harvard University, Ben-Shahar created the most popular course in Harvard's history. The subject of the course was “ happiness .” In his very popular book, Happier: Learn the Secrets to Daily Joy and Lasting Fulfillment (p. 11) , he reveals a “ happiness ritual ” that has proven to be very successful. Each night before going to sleep, write down at least five things that made or make you happy — things for which you are grateful. These can be little or big: from a meal that you enjoyed to a meaningful conversation you had with a friend, from a project at work to God. If you do this exercise regularly, you will naturally repeat yourself, which is perfectly fine. The key is, despite the repetition, to keep the emotions fresh; imagine what each item means to you as you write it down, and experience the feeling associated with it...
