What the "Image of God" Really Means, God’s Parenting Model, Purposes of Life, Exercising Power & much more.

The Sixth Day of Creation is packed with instructions, principles and wisdom most Bible readers are completely unaware of. Rabbi Jeffrey Leynor and Jim Myers discovered the things below, and more, embedded in the Hebrew words of the account of the Sixth Day of Creation in Genesis 1.

● Humans share an Earthly soul with the animals.

● “The image of God” is a “them” -- not a “him” or a “her.

● God’s model of “parenting.”

● Gender equality in the ancient text.

● “Impulse control” and “self-discipline.”

● God’s model for exercising power.

● Purposes of life.

● Jewish & Christian “images of God” are different.

● Judaism & Christian Religions view history differently.

Distinguishing Between The Kingdom of Elohim & Cosmic Wars

A cosmic war is like a ritual drama in which participants act out on earth a battle they believe is actually taking place in the heavens. It is, in other words, both a real, physical struggle in this world and an imagined, moral encounter in the world beyond. The conflict may be real and the carnage material, but the war itself is being waged on a spiritual plane; we humans are merely actors in a divine script written by God. A cosmic war partitions the world into black and white, good and evil, us and them . Continue reading at - https://mailchi.mp/31669ceec901/distinguishing-between-the-kingdom-of-elohim-cosmic-wars

What am I?

What am I? Now that’s a question a lot of people have asked in the history of humans. We ( Rabbi Jeffrey Leynor and former pastor Jim Myers ) created two models for working with that question – after wrestling with it for over 25 years . You may have noticed that use models instead of answers. Most questions about life are better understood by using models that reveal potentialities than statements of either/or answers . Our models emerged from two sources in which our research and studies focused on during our journey together – one source is an ancient wisdom account embedded in our shared religious texts and the other source is modern science . This makes our approach at the TOV Center unique in many respects – we combine the wisdom of ancient texts with the facts of modern science to maximize human experiences . As pointed out above, we created a model from each source to help us better understand humans: (1) Ancient Wisdom Model – Humans are creatures that share t...

Will science do a better job than religions?

Science tells us the following things about humans: 1. Humans have basic physical requirements that must be met in order to survive. 2. Humans are totally dependent on other humans from conception to death. 3. Without cooperation or power relationships required for human survival will not exist.   4. Relationships based on cooperation have better outcomes than those based on power. The first stories in the book of Genesis reveal the same ideas. Do you think science will do a better job than religions in getting humans to understand and apply them to their lives? Or do you think religions can change and do a better job? _____________________________________________________________ Did you find this information helpful?
