Introduction to Lives 1st Realities Transformations

(This is a handout for the first Lives 1st Realities Tour. It will provide an overview for the discussions between Jeffrey and Jim.)

● Began a journey over a quarter of a century ago.

○ How did two sects of the same religion become two mutually exclusive monotheistic religions?

● Two guideline were like a GPS that kept us on track:

Belief Systems: My belief system will be large enough to include all of the facts, open enough to be examined and questioned, and flexible enough to change if errors or new facts are discovered.

Meanings of Words: A word is a symbol or group of symbols with an attached bundle of association, and those associations are a product of the Source’s culture, historical time period, geographical location and personal experiences.

● Our religions changed not only because of religious factors, political and economic factors played major roles too.

Roman Emperor Constantine the Great (Roman Catholic Church) and the German Elector of Saxony Frederick III (Protestantism).

Cyrus the Great, King of Persia and Artaxerxes I, King of Persian.

Crusades, inquisitions and witch hunts were also used to confiscate property and wealth and transfer them into the coffers of religious institutions and the accounts of religious leaders.

● Tracking what happened in our religions produced massive amounts of data, but now we understand what happened. We then turned to the next question: How can we share what we learned in order to prevent dangerous predatory religious beliefs embedded in religious text and belief systems from lifting another predator like Hitler to a position of power?

○ Don’t forget that Germany was a democratic nation with a 94% Christian population in 1932 when Hitler rose to power.

○ Religious prejudices are still simmering in the minds of many Americans today. One thing that will help put out those ancient fires is bringing transparency to religious institution.

● Another thing is something we found embedded in both our Scriptures – an ancient wisdom text.

○ It contains foundational moral and ethical values, principles for living lives as equals, using power in ways that are mutually inclusive and beneficial for all people and a standard for measuring human actions based on protecting and preserving lives, making lives more functional and increasing the quality of life.

● But what we learned about ourselves as human beings from science transformed the way we understood everything we had learned.

○ We are genetic memetic social creatures that possess the most complex known object in the universe – the human brain. It creates the realities through which we view life and react to what we see.

○ What is a reality? It is everything we sensory perceive and think. It is how we view our world and give meanings to the things in it.

○ A key point is how the brain functions when beliefs are involved. Once beliefs are formed and commitments are made to them the subconscious mind does the following:

◊ Searches for patterns in incoming information that confirms its beliefs.

Distorts and molds new information to make it fit its preconceived concepts.

Filters out information that doesn’t fit its preconceived concepts or confirm its beliefs.

It doesn’t make any difference whether the beliefs are ethical and moral or harmful and deadly -- generous selfless acts of kindness or shooting people in school. All that is required is for the beliefs to be valued and trusted by the mind.

● Until people become aware of how their brains are subconsciously censoring and manipulating information flowing into their minds, regardless of how much they need to hear what we want to share with them – their conscious mind would never hear what we say.

○ This makes raising awareness of the role of the brain in creating and protecting realities the top priority!

Individuals living in America today have the potential for being the most powerful social force in the history of mankind.

access to more knowledge than any generation

ability to instantaneously communicate with more people living in more places

interacting in social networks that are larger than nations

opportunities to bring about social changes that benefit more lives than ever

new power model that use emergence to quickly change things

How could we share the massive amounts of complex information we had acquire over a 25+ year journey with as many people as possible?

Safari Live is a program streamed live twice a day from Kruger National Park in South Africa -- one of the largest game reserves in Africa with an area of 7,523 square miles.

◊ Guides show viewers where to look to make them aware of something.

◊ Then the guides help viewers see (understand) what they were looking at.

◊ The way viewers were being show what to looking at and how much they were learning gave us idea – create a model like the safari program.

● We created the Realities Transformation Tours Model to do show people where to look in their realities and then help them see and understand what they are looking at.

○ The Lives 1st Realities Tour Map shows areas from which realities are created.

○ We will help the people see and understand what they are looking at. All people have to do is show up for tours, look and see! No homework or tests.

○ We will guide people around the map and they will discover how things they have never considered found their way in their realities. Once they become aware they have new options for changing things!

Why Exploring the Bible is Important

Today, I want to tell you a story that will provide a context in which you can better understand why exploring the Bible is so important. Once upon a time, a professor, a rabbi and a pastor agreed to follow a guideline and explore the Bible. Their names are Ike Tennison , Jeffrey Leynor , and Jim Myers . (that’s me). We are the First Exploring the Bible Team. We explored the Bible for over 30 years and became very good friends. Agreeing to follow the guideline creates safe and open environments to explore belief systems; and that is priceless! Who Created “Good” and “Evil”?

How important is it for people to understand what “ good ” and “ evil ” mean? For those of us with Christian Biblical Heritages, evil is a very important word . In the King James Version of the Bible the word “ evil ” appears 613 times . “ Good ” appears 720 times . I found this very interesting, because I heard a lot more about evil than I did about good in the church my family attended when I was growing up. That really stood out at the end of every church service when “ the invitation ” was given. It was an opportunity for “ lost ” people to be “ saved .” Why were they lost and why did they need to be saved? Continue reading at -- https://mailchi.mp/a38b5c20c334/who-created-good-and-evil

What am I?

What am I? Now that’s a question a lot of people have asked in the history of humans. We ( Rabbi Jeffrey Leynor and former pastor Jim Myers ) created two models for working with that question – after wrestling with it for over 25 years . You may have noticed that use models instead of answers. Most questions about life are better understood by using models that reveal potentialities than statements of either/or answers . Our models emerged from two sources in which our research and studies focused on during our journey together – one source is an ancient wisdom account embedded in our shared religious texts and the other source is modern science . This makes our approach at the TOV Center unique in many respects – we combine the wisdom of ancient texts with the facts of modern science to maximize human experiences . As pointed out above, we created a model from each source to help us better understand humans: (1) Ancient Wisdom Model – Humans are creatures that share t...
